Dr. Lia M. Palileo-Villanueva is a Professor at the University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine (UPCM), and a practicing general internist at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). She obtained her MD and MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from the UPCM and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) as chief resident. She currently heads the Community-oriented Medical Education (COME) Unit of the UPCM, and is the program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program of the PGH. Her research interests include health systems, non-communicable diseases, primary care, and medical education.
